Separate three different limits
A size diagram helps you picture space, but it cannot approve a material or tell you how much weight remains. Keep these details together in your booking notes so everyone loading follows the same instructions.

Describe the dense part first
A pile of cabinet pieces and a similar-sized pile of masonry do not weigh the same. EPA's volume-to-weight reference lists different estimates for wood, gypsum, roofing and aggregate materials. That supports the distinction; it does not provide a weight allowance for your rental.
Tell us about tile, roofing, soil, concrete or brick before choosing a container. Acceptance is not assumed, and cinder blocks are not accepted. A larger bin does not automatically make a heavy-material project suitable.
Be specific about the work: lifting a floor covering differs from removing the layers beneath it. If the scope is unclear, have the contractor identify the planned materials before you settle on a bin.
Bring quantities, not a guessed weight
You do not need to turn your project into kilograms before calling. Describe the area being cleared, approximate pile size, main material groups and unusually heavy pieces. Explain what is already removed and what is still hidden.
An online conversion is only an estimate. Mixed loads, gaps between pieces and material condition make a single multiplier a poor basis for deciding how much more to add. The bin size guide is a volume aid, not a scale.
Keep material groups identifiable until the rental plan is agreed. A clear description is more useful than a mixed pile labelled simply as renovation waste.
Confirm how weight is handled
Ask which weight allowance applies, which units are used, and how the load's weight is established. Also ask what happens if the planned material or amount changes. Keep the answer with the material approval.
If additional weight can affect the quoted amount, confirm those terms separately. Paying for extra weight must never be assumed to override a loading or transport limit. The quote checklist helps you review the full booking.
Pause when the project changes
Recheck the plan before adding a new room's debris or a different material. A bin arranged for cabinets should not become a tile or soil load because space remains.
Stop loading when you reach the agreed limit or are uncertain about it. Contact Bin and Gone with the material and approximate amount added. Discuss the next step before loading more; do not try to compact the contents to create permission for another load.

Can I tell the bin's weight from how full it looks?
No. Fill height shows occupied space, not the load's weight. Follow the confirmed material and weight instructions even when the bin looks partly empty.
Does the biggest bin always carry the most weight?
Do not assume that. Container volume and the allowance for your materials are separate details, both confirmed when the rental is arranged.
Is there one allowance I can use for any renovation?
No. The 1 ton minimum is a pricing term, not a safe loading limit for every material. Give Bin and Gone your material list so the appropriate loading limits can be confirmed for your booking.
